The Student Veterans Resource Center (SVRC) provides a surplus of resources for Veteran students here on campus, and gives them the treatment they deserve in return for serving the nation.

The center’s main goal is to enable veterans to come together, and provides a comfortable environment for them to do so. Assistant Dean Karlene Thompson stated, “The most important thing the Student Veteran’s Resource Center has to offer is its centralized services.”

With the helping hand of the Student Veteran’s Organization, the grand opening of the center on Sept. 19 was attended by students and campus administrators. The Club room, located in Sloan 235.

Teshia Singleton, the coordinator of the SVRC, is very proud of her job. Originally from Prince George County, VA. Raised by a family of veterans, Singleton is passionate about the center and what it can offer.
